Cantonment members protest continue in the night at Wellington, The Nilgiris

Cantonment members Durairaj, Sivakumar, Mary Sheeba, Srinivasan, Sebastian,Latha and other board members took part in this protest.


The Nilgiris: Wellington Cantonment area in The Nilgiris is occupied mostly by the Army officers and other general public. People have chosen 7 representatives for the 7 wards in the locality.

It is said that the officials have given permission to construct buildings on agricultural lands and have denied permission to build the public restrooms ordered by the Central Government.

Cantonment members took part in this protest at the government office premises.

Cantonment Board Vice President M Bharathiar said that "we will continue this protest until actions are taken on the respective officials."

The protest is going on even during the night inside the office premises. Cantonment members Durairaj, Sivakumar, Mary Sheeba, Srinivasan, Sebastian,Latha and other board members took part in this protest.
