Fire department put off the fire after a long battle of 8 hours.
Coimbatore: Rajeshkumar Agarwal from RS Puram, Coimbatore runs a cotton storage unit at the land owned by Manokaran in Singanallur. After work last night, Umamageswari, who works as a supervisor at the warehouse went home after closing the venue.
At around 9pmthe neighbours saw black smoke arising from the cotton warehouse. Post which they informed the Fire and Rescue department in Singanallur who immediately arrived at the venue.
A team of 15 people in 3 fire trucks fought and extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the accident which was put out after fighting it for about 8 hours.
Smoke billowed across the area due to the fire. Singanallur police officials have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the fire in the cotton warehouse.
