DMK on a protest spree: protest in front of Coimbatore Corporation Office to stress on updating CCMC website

Police officials arrested more than 100 members who took part in the protest.



Coimbatore: DMK party members participated in a condemning protest under the leadership of DMK East Secretary Karthick MLA against the AIADMK party near the Corporation Office in Coimbatore.



Post the demonstration Singanallur MLA Karthik met with the press and stated that “Corporation officials have not completed even the basic amenities in the areas near Coimbatore Corporation Office and Periyakadai Veedhi. Groves dug up for completing the underground drainage system have not been completed yet.

Roads in the area are damaged beyond repair making it impossible to even walk on the roads. Drainages clogged and wastes are dumped on the roads which makes them a breeding spot for mosquitoes. Drinking water is supplied only once in 8 dayswhich can sometimes go till 10 days."



DMK MLA Karthik N then said that the Coimbatore Corporation is not working properly and has turned the city into hell.

More than 100 members from the DMK party took part in this demonstration including Yusuf, Abbas, Advocate PR Arulmozhi, Ex Councillor Murugan and Ex Mayor Ganapathy.

Police officials arrested the party members and took them to a private wedding hall and were released later.
