Coimbatore: Video of ganja dealer Manikandan being abducted and assaulted goes viral on social media. A ganja dealer was abducted and brutally beaten to death in Ratnapuri, Coimbatore a few days ago and his body was found.
The video of him being attacked has now spread on social media and caused a stir. Manikandan is from the Nallampalayam area of Ratnapuri, Coimbatore. The 23-year-old has been working as an electrician. There are various ganja cases against him. 4 persons who went to Manikandan's house at 11 pm on the 25thhave introduced themselves as policemen. Manikandan was later taken away, saying they wanted to investigate him about a ganja case.
When Manikandan's parents went to the Thudiyalur police station on 26th morning police informed they had not brought anyone for questioning. Manikandan was later found with serious injuries in the Mettupalayam Badrakaliamman temple area on the 26th. Mettupalayam police rescued him and admitted him to Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Manikandan, who was shifted from Coimbatore Government Hospital to a private hospital, succumbed to his injuries on February 4.
