More than 300 DMK members arrested for protesting against illegal selling of flats by AIADMK
Coimbatore: More than 300 DMK workers arrested in Coimbatore for protesting against AIADMK government at Kulathupalayam in Coimbatore, condemning AIADMK and Minister SP Velumani for illegally selling Tamil Nadu Housing Board flats at low prices in areas under the Coimbatore Thondamuthur assembly constituency.

Since the police did not allow the protest, hundreds of police were deployed in the area. Coimbatore North District DMK Officer CR Ramachandran addressed the protest led by Sugunapuram Area Organization Secretary Rajendran.

He condemned that Minister SP Velumani has been involved in a scam by selling Housing Board houses at low prices through e-tender. Similarly, he alleged that in the Suez project there was a multi-billion crore scam in which the company was to sell drinking water supply to the company and provide water to the people.

Slogans were raised and they held banners condemning Minister SP Velumani. More than 300 people were arrested for participating in the DMK protest defying ban by the police.
