Coimbatore: A college student from Coimbatore has invented a '3 in 1' cycle which runs using Solar, Electric or Manual power.

In an exclusive interview with 'SimpliCity' the achiever student said,"My name is Bharath Kumar. My father is a worker at a construction site, my mom is a homemaker and I have one sister.

I am currently pursuing BSC Electronics at PSG College of Arts and Science. Post 'Covid -19' outbreak I invented an 'Automated Hand Sanitizer' at a reasonable cost. 'SimpliCity' helped my achievement reach people.

Following this achievement The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) organisation honoured my efforts at an event held at Coimbatore.

I am currently putting my efforts in inventing various innovative products which will help humanity. Now I have invented a 3 in 1 cycle which can run using Solar, Battery and Pedalling (Manually). At present there are only one or two types of cycles available in the market. Hence I decided to invent an innovative product with 3 types. I collected Scrap of an old cycle and worked on it.

This cycle uses Solar, Electric (Battery) or Manual (Pedalling). I have used two types of charging methods, while pedaling the cycle gets charged and also uses Solar power for charging. I have registered with MSME Industrialist (student category/ approved by the Central Government). My main motive is to create a '3 in 1' cycle at an affordable cost.

At present due to air, noise pollution many have started showing interest to use cycles which are environment friendly. I think my effort will be very useful if companies come forward to give support. The price of this '3 in 1' cycle will be much cheaper and hence people of all categories can afford to buy it."
