People from the 6th ward of Chinnampalayam are against the newly built garbage disposal site near the area.
Coimbatore: Over thousands of people reside at the Chinnampalayam Town Panchayat in Pollachi. People from the 6th ward of Chinnampalayam are against the newly built garbage disposal site near the area.
Meanwhile the residents welfare association of that area filed a petition at the Sub Collector's office todayregarding the new garbage disposal site.
The petition stated that "A garbage disposal site is being established in the park site of the locality. We have complained regarding this to various departments including the Chief Minister's special department, Pollution Control Board and the District Collector's office. Officials said that they will conduct a thorough research study and then take necessary actions. But the work for building a garbage disposal site has begun again. When asked about this the workers said that they are doing development projects under the orders of the District Collector. We kindly request the officials to intervene and stop this process." It said.
