DMK party members participated in a demonstration and protest in front of the Gandhi Statue in Pollachi,Coimbatore against AIADMK Minister SP Velumani. DMK party members accused Minister SP Velumani for corruption, illegal stealing of mineral resources in Coimbatore and for his involvement in the Pollachi Sexual Assault Case.
DMK party members participated in this protest under the leadership of DMK South Secretary Thendral Selvaraj. Members then chanted slogans condemning Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy, Rural Development Minister SP Velumani and Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman.
Later the members suddenly sat on the road and started an unplanned demonstration. Post this police officials arrested over hundreds of DMK members who took part in this protest.
