Coimbatore: Vijaya Prabhakaran is confident that DMDK's vote bank has not decreased. Vijaya Prabhakaran, the youngest son of Vijayakanth, addressed a special consultative meeting on behalf of DMDK in the Coimbatore South District for the 2021 election held at the Rajeswari Marriage Hall on the Pollachi-Palladam Road. The meeting was chaired by District Secretary Panappatti Dinakaran.

Speaking to reporters, he said that DMDK vote bank had not decreased and that defeat in politics was not permanent and that talks were underway regarding the AIADMK-DMK alliance as DMDK would become a major movement when situation changes.

He added saying, "It is up to the party leadership to decide on the alliance. The AIADMK party has both positives and negatives. Currently, the waiver of crop loans to farmers is welcome. The DMDK is still undecided on the alliance and is ready to individually contest in all 234 constituencies."
