Tirupur: Tamilnadu Government Workers Union are on their 6th day of protest. As a part of that the workers participated in a roadside protest in Tirupur.
Members protested for various reasons including cancellation of the new pension scheme, Internal pricing, Salary to the workers from the government treasury and Special salary for working due to Covid-19.
Over 100 hundreds of Government Workers joined in the condemning protest in front of the Tirupur Collectorate. As a form of raising their opinion, the protestors chanted slogans requesting the government to take immediate measures.
The members who took part in the protest with a black cloth tied on their eyes and hand beam balance in their hands representing the injustice done towards them. As a part of expressing the grief the workers are facing, the members enacted how workers are dying everyday and by crying over an effigy of corpse of government workers.
Police officials arrested the protestors who took part in the roadside protest.
