Coimbatore: Minister SP Velumani today inaugurated the Bhoomi Pooja for the renovation of tar road at a cost of Rs. 12 crore 93 lakhs in the East Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation. The event was presided over by P. Kumaravel Pandian, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer of the Corporation.

Special Roads Project is to be implemented under Wards No.32 and 37, from CODISSIA Road, Avinashi Road to S-Bend and Kumudham Nagar Main Road and Cross Road also from Vilankurichi Road, Maheshwari Nagar, Main Road at a cost of Rs 5 crore and the renovation of tar road at Mala Avenue and Shakti Nagar in Ward No.32, Cheran Maanagar at an estimated cost of Rs 2.93 crore and the Bhoomi Pooja for the renovation of tar road at a total cost of 12 crore 93 lakhs is to be implemented.
Coimbatore South Assembly Member Amman K Arjunan, North Assembly Member PRG Arunkumar, Kavundampalayam Assembly Member VC Arukutty, Deputy Commissioner S Madhuranthagi, Zonal Assistant Commissioners Murugan (East), Senthilkumar Rathinam (North) and Corporation Engineer Gnanavelu, Health Officers, Corporation Officers and the public attended the event.
