Case against MLA Karthik: Judge grants conditional bail.
Coimbatore: Judge grants conditional bail for DMK MLA Na Karthik, who had questioned in his statement that it was a mystery that none of the more than four thousand resolutions passed by the Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer for the last 3 years had been uploaded on the Corporation's website.
Coimbatore Alayam Foundation founder and director Thangaraj lodged a complaint with the Kuniyamuthur police. In it, he complained that Karthik MLA has slandered about him and criticized the working of the corporation, so he has urged that appropriate action should be taken against him.
Kuniamuthur police have registered a case against Karthik MLA under sections 153, 504 and 505 (I) B of the Indian Penal Code. MLA N. Karthik had filed a petition in the Coimbatore District Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case.
The hearing on the petition took place yesterday. After hearing the petition, the judge granted bail to Karthik MLA on the condition that he appear at the Kuniyamuthur police station every morning and sign.
