Police officials say that the car hit on the truck which caused the tragic accident.
Coimbatore: Shivaraj (30) a local merchant, his wife Sathyapriya (28) hail from a village near Karumathampatti, Coimbatore. They are parents to a 1 ½ year old girl child named Shiva Shruthi.
Todaythe family of three were going to a private hospital in Somanur in their Omni car as Shiva Shruthi was sick for the last few days. While on their way, the Omni car tried to overtake a truck, but unfortunately the truck's backside hit the Omni car whiched to a tragic accident in which both Shivaraj and his wife Sathyapriya were heavily injured and were fighting for their lives.
People who went on the national highway called for an ambulance which took them to a hospital. Unfortunately the baby died on the way to the hospital. Both Shivaraj and his wife Sathyapriya are now under intense treatment at a private hospital.
Karumathampatti police officials are further investigating the case and have revealed that the truck was driven by Mariappan from Sengottai and that the truck was coming to Coimbatore from Namakkal.
