Sanitation Worker commits sucide: Family members demonstrate in front of the Coimbatore Collectorate!

Sanitation worker commits sucide, blames 3 co-workers for his death.



Coimbatore: Rangaswamy, a sanitation department worker at a panchayat welfare centre on Mettupalayam Road was found unconscious the day before yesterday after he consumed pesticide.

Soon Rangaswamy was recovered from the scene and was admitted at the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. But unfortunately he was declared dead as his body failed to respond to the treatment.

Later a video recording of Rangaswamy was released were he blamed Nurse Latha, Officials Solomon and Revathy for his suicide.

Post that Rangaswamy's relatives took part in a protest at the Coimbatore Government Hospital requesting the officials to arrest the 3 members mentioned in the video.

Meanwhile, the family members went to meet the District Collector today and took part in a demonstration in front of the Collector's office.

During the demonstration, the family members said that they will not receive Rangaswamy's body until the 3 members mentioned in the video evidence are arrested.



Post this police officials present at the Collector Office for security duty convinced the family members and sent them to meet the District Collector.

This incident created panic in the surrounding for sometime.
