Backward Communities Coalition for Rights is a group of people from over 143 Communities which fight for the rights of the people from backward communities.
Coimbatore: Members from the Backward Communities’ Rights Coalition announced to go on a hunger strike in Coimbatore on February 8thto safeguard the rights of the students and future generations from the backward communities.
The coalition is a group of people from over 143 Communities which fight for the rights of the people from backward communities.
The organization's first meeting was held at Coimbatore recently. Members of this coalition include ex police officials, ex government authorities, lawyers and many others from the oppressed communities.
Meanwhile the members of the committee have decided to go on a hunger strike to establish the rights of backward community members for the future generation.
A press meet regarding the upcoming hunger strike was held at the committee office in Race Course, Coimbatore.
Rathinasabapathy, committee organiser and ex police department said that " considering the welfare of the people from the oppressed community, we must be given equal and fair chances in education and employment. As a part of reviving the lost rights, our committee has decided to go on a model hunger strike on February 8thnear Power House, Coimbatore. Backward community members from Tirupur, Coimbatore and other districts are to participate in this hunger strike." He said
Other members including Velliangiri, Velusamy, Dr Sivakumar, Sulur Kannan, Rajan and Chandrasekhar took part in the press meet that happened today.
