Chennai High Court cancels Goonda Act case filed on Karupar Kootam YouTube channel members Surendran and Senthil Vasan.

A complaint was filed upon the members of Karuppar Kootam YouTube channel alleging that the team made derogatory remarks on the Murugan worship song "Kandha Sashti Kavasam" which offended the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.
After this the police officials arrested Karuppar Kootam channel admin Senthil Vasan and later arrested Surendar who made the remarks in the video.
Later the officials also arrested Camera Person Somasundaram and Video Editor Gugan. Cyber Crime Police Officials also deleted around 500 videos that were uploaded by the Karupar Kootam team.
Meanwhile, the District Police Commissioner ordered Surendran and Senthil to be arrested under the Goonda Act. A case was filed against it in the Chennai High Court.
During the hearing of the case, Karuppar Kootam said that they released the video to abolish superstition and other blind faiths.
Police officials stated that Karupar Kootam channel members specifically targeted Hindu religion which created a ruffle amongst the believers.
