A youngster from Kuniyamuthur area, Coimbatore tried to misbehave with a 7 year old girl.

Coimbatore: Eachanari Vinayagar Temple in Coimbatore has a huge residential area behind it. Children in the area usually play the ground in the area.

A young man who resided in the same area approached a 7 year old girl and convinced her to come to his home. After taking the child to his home, the man tried to sexually misbehave with her. The young girl who was shocked by this incident screamed for help and ran to her home and told her parents about the incident.

The parents of the girl who were shocked by this incident, went to the man's house and tried to enter his house. Then the parents filed a complaint at the Kuniyamuthur police station. Police authorities quickly arrived at the area and brought the man out for investigation.

During the investigation the man confessed that he tried to misbehave with the child but said that he did not do anything to the child. Post this the police officials warned him but the public thrashed him for his misbehaviour.

Later the area public called the man's landlord and complained about this incident. The landlord then asked the man and his grandparents to vacate from the house.

This issue has created panic in the area. People of the locality then urged the officials to create an awareness about the POCSO Act which severely punishes the culprits who try to sexually harm children.
