Pollachi Sub Collector Vaidhiyanathan headed this meeting which had officials like Pollachi Tahsildar Thanikaivel, Anamalai Tahsildar Venkatachalam and other Election Department Special Tahsildars.
In this meeting officials were advised on how to face the upcoming elections, how to handle EVM machines and also discussed how to rectify the hurdles faced during the last elections.
Authorities say that all officials in election duty will be given special training soon ahead of the state assembly elections.
There are 269 election booths in Pollachi assembly constituency and another 68 election booths are newly added to facilitate election booths which have more than thousand voters.
Election officials will soon be given special training on how to handle EVM machines as a part of the second phase of election preparations.
