More than 100 civil servants arrested on the 3rd day of the siege protest



Coimbatore: More than 100 civil servants arrested on the 3rd day of the siege protest. Government employees besieged the Coimbatore Collector's Office this morningfor the 3rd day in a row, emphasizing the demands.



More than a hundred of them were arrested.



The Tamil Nadu Government Employees Union has been engaged in a series of struggles throughout Tamil Nadu, emphasizing various demands. As part of it, more than a hundred government employees staged a sit-in protest yesterdayin front of the Coimbatore District Collector’s Office.



They demanded to fill 4.5 lakh vacancies in Tamil Nadu and 3.5 lakh of Anganwadi, Nutrition, Revenue, Village Assistants, MRP Nurses to be listed under periodical pay roll. They chanted slogans demanding the repeal of the Adiseshaiya Committee's recommendation to disables youth from securing jobs.
