Driver dead in an accident between two container trucks near Karumathampati, Coimbatore. Another driver under critical treatment at the hospital.
Coimbatore: A container truck was parked on the side of the Avinashi Highway near Karumathampati today afternoon due to some repair.
It is said that truck driver Christopher Jebaraj was sleeping inside the truck. That is when another container truck which lost control crashed into the truck under repair.
Driver Christopher Jebaraj who was thrown out of the truck died on the spot. Karumathampati police officials who immediately arrived at the scene sent the driver who was fighting for his life to a hospital in Coimbatore and sent the body of the driver who was killed in the accident for autopsy.
Authorities have filed a case under section 304 A and are conducting their investigation. There was heavy traffic delay in the area for about 1 hour because of this horrific accident.
