To assist the City police to monitor and keep a close eye on public movement at crowded areas like bus stands, shopping streets and during festival/religious events, L Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG Sons and Charitable Trust along with Dr. Nandini Rangasamy Founder Trustee of GRG Trust handed over a high tech drone camera to Sumit Sharan, Coimbatore City Police Commissioner.
Equipped with night vision feature, the drone camera will help police during night patrol. With a capability of functioning at an altitude of 4 km, thedrone camera can provide a aerial view of a large area, thus enhance surveillance.
Drones will certainly help the police department to ensure safety of public and surveillance of larger areas. Importantly, help locate and nab the criminals swiftly, the Commissioner said.
