Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 533 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,23,001 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 4,494.
Among districts, Chennai led with 145 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 74 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 53,649 today, totalling to 1,61,76,919 getting examined till date.
