Police went on bike rally for awareness for road safety


Coimbatore: Police officers go on a bike rally for awareness on road safety in Coimbatore todayto create awareness among the public about road safety.

Road Safety Week is observed every year to reduce road accidents and create awareness among the public about road safety. The event, which is held only 7 days a year, is being held for one month in the current year. In Coimbatore, Road Safety Week has been held from the 18th last month to the 17th of this month. In this, various road awareness programs are being conducted.



As part of this, a bike rally was organized on behalf of the City Police to create awareness among the people regarding road safety.



Coimbatore District Collector K. Rajamani and Coimbatore City Commissioner of Police Sumit Saran flagged off the rally.



More than a hundred policemen marched through the city, carrying banners with road safety awareness slogans.
