Coimbatore: Young policeman collapsed and dies of blood pressure in Coimbatore. A 24-year-old police constable working at the Selvapuram police station under the Coimbatore City Police collapsed and died due to blood pressure.
Police said Thangaraj (24 years old), a resident of Perungamanallur, Chetapatti taluk, Madurai district, had completed his 23rd Squadron training at Perurani PRS, Thoothukudi district in 2017. Thangaraj is currently at the Selvapuram police station within the Coimbatore city area since 1.9. 2019. He was going to work as usual on 6.1.2021.
When he came near the police station he fainted and suddenly fell down. Neighbors rescued him and admitted him to Coimbatore Government Hospital. Doctors said that he had a blood clot in the nerve that goes to the brain due to excessive blood pressure. Following this he was admitted to Madurai Meenakshi Mission Hospital for treatment.
Doctors who examined him there said he had lost arm and a leg function on the left side. Thangaraj, who was receiving treatment there, passed away at 7 am today. Selvapuram police were deeply saddened to hear this information.
