Police officials arrested BJP and Hindu Munnani party members after violence broke at a demonstration protest in Mettupalayam

Coimbatore: Hindu Munnani Party State President Kadeshwara petitioned Tamilnadu DGP and Home Secretary to thoroughly investigate the false allegations made against Hindu Munnani party members before arresting them.

In his petition, Kadeshwara stated that "There are many organisations in Mettupalayam who are involved in illegal activities against people and public properties.

Certain members took part in a street play on 26th Januarywhich made derogatory remarks on Prime Minister Modi against which BJP members participated in a condemning protest and demonstration at Mettupalayam.

During the demonstration BJP State member Kalyana Raman addressed the gathering when certain members infiltrated the protest area and started to attack with stones as in the video evidences with police officials and intelligence agency authorities.

Police authorities tried to calm the situation by arresting the people involved in the riot. But the police arrested Kalyana Raman, Satheesh Kumar, Satheesh, Jagannathan, Dheena, Anand, Senthil Kumar Sengottaian, Hindu Munnani Coimbatore Secretary Satheesh Kumar and Coimbatore North Zone Vice President Thangavel under the basis of a false case.

Hindu Munnani party had no link to the demonstration that happened in Mettupalayam. No members from Hindu Munnani party took part in that demonstration. So I kindly request the police officials to check the video evidence and cancel the fake cases filed against Hindu Munnani party members." He said.
