Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 521 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,22,468 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 4,517.
Among districts, Chennai led with 142 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 54 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 51,644 today, totalling to 1,61,23,270 getting examined till date.
