Judge dismisses bail plea of a woman who misappropriated1 crore doing gloves business
Coimbatore: The judge dismissed the bail plea of a businesswoman for the second time who sold gloves and misappropriated Rs 1 crore. The case of bail plea by a woman entrepreneur who is charged with misappropriating one crore rupees by selling substandard gloves, was dismissed for the second time. Blue Arch Chits, a glove manufacturer, was based in Coimbatore. Its managing director Geeta Agarwal (31) and director Balaji sold gloves worth Rs 1 crore to a Hyderabad-based charity.
They complained to the district criminal police as they refused to return the money as they returned gloves because the glove was substandard. Police interrogated and arrested Geeta Agarwal and Balaji. Geeta Agarwal's petition seeking release on bail has been dismissed. The petition was re-filed in the District Sessions Court yesterday. Judge Sakthivel dismissed the bail application.
