Coimbatore: Tussle between police and SDPI protestors who demanded release of arrested members who pelted stones during the protest condemning the BJP.
The BJP staged a protest in front of the Abirami Theater this evening, protesting against the defaming of Prime Minister Modi during an SDPI protest at Mettupalayam a few days ago. There was a stir as some protested against the protest and tried to pelt stones.
Police arrested over 10 protesters indulging in pelting of tones. Following this the SDPI workers staged a protest on Coonoor Hill Road demanding their release. Then there was a tussle between them and the police after which they were later arrested by police.
