22,000 police and revenue officers in Coimbatore to be vaccinated
Coimbatore: The drive to vaccinate 22,000 police and revenue officers in Coimbatore has begun. Coronavirus vaccine has been administered across India for the last 16 days.
Accordingly, 7,826 people from the health department who werefrontline staff in the coronavirus prevention measures have been vaccinated so far. Department officials from the police, revenue department, municipality and village panchayat, and health workers are scheduled to be vaccinated from today, Monday.
District Administration officer said, "In Coimbatore district, 22,000 frontline workers from various departments, including the police and the revenue department, have registered to be vaccinated, excluding medical personnel.
They will be vaccinated at 12 Panchayat Union offices in the district and at 10 places in the corporation at Coimbatore and Pollachi government hospitals."
