Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 523 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,21,430 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 4,554.
Among districts, Chennai led with 141 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 53 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 54,043 today, totalling to 1,60,19,962 getting examined till date.
