Coimbatore: Sambathkumar (59) was an AIADMK party member and also the Ex- secretary of Lingapuram Milk Producers Union. Today evening around 5 pmSambathkumar was driving his motorcycle from his farm.
Sambathkumar was chased by a heard of wild elephants when he collapsed and fell down from his motorcycle and unfortunately lost his life on the spot.
On receiving information Sirumugai Forest Department Official Senthil Kumar and Ranger Navaneethan arrived at the spot and sent Sambathkumar's body to the Mettupalayam Government Hospital.
Mettupalayam MLA OK Chinnaraj, Sirumugai Municipality Secretary Ravikumar and Lingapuram Samiappan paid their final respects and consoled their family members.
