Transport Department workers on a Hunger Strike in Tirupur!

Workers continue to urge the government to conduct a meeting to discuss their wages and contracts.


Tirupur: Transportation department workers protest in Tirupur as a part of the 14th meeting regarding salaries and contracts.

Transportation department workers across Tamilnadu were involved in various protests forcing the government to conduct the 14th meeting regarding wages and contracts.



Post that the Tamilnadu government and Transportation Department gave an assurance that the meeting will be scheduled post Pongal festival.

However the meeting hasn't been scheduled yet, even after so many days after Pongal.



As their voice against this, transport department workers took part in a hunger protest in front of the transport department shed at the Tirupur - Kangeyam road condemning the government for delaying the meeting and urging the government to set up the meeting immediately.
