Forest officials along with a team of doctors are now involved in the process of giving the leopard a thorough check up before releasing it into the forest area of Thengumarahada near the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve.
Coimbatore: A lot of wildlife activities can be witnessed near the forest areas of Quarry office and Gandhinagar areas in Madukkarai, Coimbatore.
Meanwhile on 21st midnight a Leopard entered the compound of a house near the quarry office. Sitting on the compound wall, the leopard tried to attack a dog owned by a man named Srinivasan. With the dog's continuous barking, the leopard went away.
Later the leopard entered a goat shed near Mattaparai area and attacked 4 goats. It was said that 3 goats lost their lives during the attack. With this incident, the residents of the area were scared and informed the forest officials to capture the leopard.
After this, forest officials kept traps at various locations near Gandhinagar and Mattaparai to capture the leopard. Meanwhile the leopard fell into one of the traps around 4 am today.
