Wild elephants severely damage a temple in Valparai



Coimbatore: Elephants demolish a temple in Valparai. Cinchona Estate is located in Valparai, Coimbatore district in the state of Tamil Nadu and there is a Mariamman temple in the second section of the tea garden.



7 wild elephants came to the area this morningand broke the window of the temple and threw everything inside the temple and completely damaged the temple.



Upon information the workers, with the help of the forest department, chased the wild elephants away. People in the area are in a state of panic as wild elephants continue to camp in the area. Forest officers have intensified patrols.
