Coimbatore: Coimbatore micro industry owner commits suicide by hanging due to lack of job orders. The owner of an engineering workshop in Coimbatore, who was suffering from loss of business and lack of sufficient income committed suicide by hanging himself in the workshop.
Police said Jesus Raj (47), son of Joseph, is a resident of Peelamedu, Coimbatore, was conducting a separate engineering workshop in Irugur and his micro industries was affected due to coronavirus. In particular, Jesus Raj has been suffering from severe depression due to non-availability of job order.
He was depressed that could not earn enough money for family expenses and hence he committed suicide by hanging himself at his company yesterday afternoon. His wife Suguna Devi, who came to know about this, lodged a complaint with the Singanallur police. Following the complaint, the Singanallur police went to the spot, seized the body and sent it for autopsy. The case is being investigated.
