Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Government Nurses' Association boycotted work demanding their for their 5-point demand.
More than a hundred nurses working at the Coimbatore Government Hospital wore black badges this morning and went on strike for an hour. The protest was held on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government Hospital Nurses Association.

During the protest, it was demanded that nurses working in government hospitals should be paid the same salary as nurses working in central government hospitals.
Nurses who worked during the Coronavirus period have not yet been paid the one-month special pay that the government claims to provide and demanded it to be provided immediately. Protestors also demanded that the government provide adequate relief to the families of doctors and nurses who died during the Coronavirus period, and that one of their families be given a government job.
These demands were made during the strike and also they added that nurses working on package pay should be made permanent. They urged that the nurses should be promoted and that adequate nurses should be employed in government hospitals.
