Coimbatore: Over 500 women took Kavadi and Paal Kudam to the Arulmigu Subramania Swamy Temple in Valparai to worship Lord Murugan on Thaipusam.

Pilgrims went as a procession in the streets and later reached the temple where the milk was offered to the deity at the Valparai Subramania Swamy Temple.
Lord Murgan was offered special pooja's and decorations were made to the deities of Valli to honour the occasion of Thaipusam.
Post the special pooja meals were given to the pilgrims and public who visited the temple in Valparai.
Valparai Police officials provided heavy security to the procession to safeguard the pilgrims from any criminal activities.
