Police sub-inspector dies of heart attack in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: Police sub-inspector dies of heart attack. A former sub-inspector of the Coimbatore City Police died suddenly of a heart attack at midnight yesterday. According to the police, Murugesan, a 52-year-old law and order sub-inspector of Coimbatore RSpuram, was working at the police station yesterday afternoon when he suddenly fainted and fell down. People nearby immediately rescued him and admitted him to KMCH Hospital in Sitra, Coimbatore. There he was treated in the ICU for heart attack. But Murugesan died as treatment failed. He also worked as a sub-inspector at Coimbatore Ukkadam, Big Bazaar street, Variety Hall road and at the police station at Coimbatore Government Hospital. He was last promoted from Ukkadam and has been working as a Special Sub-Inspector at RS Puram for the last one year.

His sudden death from a heart attack has caused grief amongst the police. It is to be noted that Murugesan is very affectionate, respectful and affectionate towards people from all walks of life and journalists.
