Coimbatore Marxist Communist Party members protest against attack on farmers in New Delhi

Communist party in India is involved in protests and demonstrations across the country showing their discontent in the government's behaviour against the farmers.


Coimbatore: Marxist Communist party members from Coimbatore participated in a demonstration against the Modi government for ordering attacks on farmers protesting in Delhi. This violent attack on farmers has been noted around the world.

As a part of that, District Communist Party members took part in a demonstration in front of Powerhouse, Sivanandha Colony.



This demonstration was conducted under the leadership of V Ramamurthy,Coimbatore District Head of Marxist Communist Party along with other district officials. District organising committee member KS Kanagaraj delivered an address as a part of the demonstration.

"The Central Government under Modi has officiated the new agricultural reform act which is completely against the farmers. This act has been established under a dictatorship rule with no regards to the belief of democracy. Over 100 farmers have died protesting against this act. Farmers have been under protest in Delhi for around 60 days despite the heavy winter

Farmers union called for a tractor rally in Delhi on January 26th. Delhi police under the control of the Central Government attacked the farmer's rally which was a peaceful rally. One farmer was killed in this inhuman police brutality which left hundreds injured." He said.



District organising committee members S Karupaiah, K Manogaran, S Krishnamoorthy, K Ajay Kumar and N Balamoorthy took part in this demonstration along with various others members of the party.
