Working intensively towards victory of DMK in over 200 constituencies - M. H. Jawahirullah in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: "Chief Minister Edappadi's statement of being friendly towards minorities is hilarious. During CAA protests, all our pleas to repeal the bill fell in deaf ears of the TN government. And, with elections nearing, showing empathy towards us is nothing short of a drama", slammed M. H. Jawahirullah, President of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi in Coimbatore on Tuesday.
M. H. Jawahirullah was here to attend the western regional general committee meeting of the party which was held at a private wedding hall in Podanur area of Coimbatore. Prior to the event, he hoisted the national flag, as part of the 72nd republic day celebrations and paid his respects.
Following which, over 500youth volunteers of the party held a parade from Aathupaalam to Kuniamuthur.

Addressing the media, M. H. Jawahirullah informed that seven teamshas been formed on behalf of his party to work intensively towards the victory of DMK. He said DMK would win over 200 seats in the upcoming state assembly elections. Meanwhile, AIADMK will witness a historical defeat, he added.
He alleged that to gain minority votes, AIADMK is acting to be caring for the interests of Muslim community. While, the same AIADMK government paid no heed to the repeated pleas in the CAA issue.
'Even false cases filed against Muslims during anti-CAA protests have not been withdrawn. AIADMK's antics will not work any more", he said.

When questioned on the criticism on DMK President M K Stalin holding a 'vel' (spear) at a Makkal Grama Sabha meeting at Tiruttani, M. H. Jawahirullah opined that DMK follows the principle of late former CM Arignar Anna who said 'One Race, One God'.
Answering to a question on impact of V.K.Sasikala's release on state elections, he affirmed that her release will not hinder DMK's victory.
The meeting was attended by key functionaries from the party.
