Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 595 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,18,742 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 4,736.
Among districts, Chennai led with 168 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 48 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 55,815 today, totalling to 1,57,52,119 getting examined till date.
