MK Stalin said: "Farmers need to realize that if there is violence in the farmers’ struggle in the capital, Delhi, it will help the state's diversionary politics."
Coimbatore: DMK leader Stalin, who was in Coimbatore to attend the wedding reception of former AIADMK minister KC Palanisamy, was given a special welcome at the Coimbatore airport.
Speaking to reporters later, MK Stalin said: "Farmers need to realize that if there is violence in the farmers’ struggle in the capital, Delhi, it will help the state's diversionary politics." The central government has been indifferent to the sentiments of the farmers who have been fighting for peace for more than two months.
The protest scenes at the Red Fort in Delhi on Republic Day were the result of the central government's reactionary attitude. DMK leader MK Stalin said violence should be avoided and both sides should try to find a peaceful solution in a democratic manner.
Earlier, he congratulated a senior member of the party, 105-year-old Padma Shri award-winning Papammal. M.K. Stalin shook hands and thanked and greeted her. After the announcement of the award, Stalin contacted Pappammal by phone to congratulate her.
