Tirupur: The District Collector who hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day in Tirupur distributed welfare assistance worth Rs. 6 crore 31 lakhs to 222 beneficiaries.

District Collector Vijayakarthikeyan hoisted the National Flag at the Chikkanna Government Arts College on behalf of the Tirupur District Administration on the occasion of the Republic Day.

He accepted the police parade honor and then he let free the doves as a symbol of peace and colored balloons.

He presented certificates of appreciation to the 153 policemen who excelled in the city and district of Tirupur and the 97 medical and health department personnel who excelled during the coronavirus epidemic.
