Chennai Hospital MD. Dr Uma Shankar death: RS Bharathi requests CBCID investigation

DMK MP RS Bharathi petitioned the Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy to transfer the investigation over the death of Dr. Uma Shankar's death to the CBCID.

Coimbatore: Chennai Hospital MD Dr. Uma Shankar died in an accident that happened in the afternoon of January 23rd near Kannapa Nagar in Thudiyalur.

Members of the Tuticorin Nadar Magamai Paribalana Sangam filed a complaint at the Tamilnadu DGP office requesting the officials to expedite the investigation and to immediately arrest the criminals behind the accident. The members of the Tuticorin Nadar Union said that the CCTV cameras in that area were not working that day making the accident quite mysterious.

Regarding this case DMK Official RS Bharathi said that "Dr Umashankar was immediately arrested over failing to pay the rent. He was then ordered to sign everyday at the police station even after being out on bail. What is the reason for his death just immediately after coming out of the police station? Police cannot hide the involvement of an important AIADMK Minister in this case."

After this DMK official RS Bharathi in his petition to the Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy requested him to handover this case from the hands of Coimbatore Police Officials to the CBCID department as there is a huge mystery behind the accidental death of Dr. Uma Shankar.
