All authorities at the District Police Commissioner Office took part in the pledge ceremony on behalf of the National Voters Day.
Coimbatore: Every year January 25th is celebrated as the National Voters Day. As a part of the National Voters Day officials at the Coimbatore District Police Office took the voters pledge under the leadership of Assistant Commissioners Govindarajan and Gunasekharan.
Officials pledged that "We the citizens of India, having abiding faith in democracy, hereby pledge to uphold the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement."
Over 100 plus government officials at the Commissioner office took part in the pledge on National Voters Day.
