Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 627 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,18,147 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 4,813.
Among districts, Chennai led with 157 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 56 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 55,919 today, totalling to 1,56,96,304 getting examined till date.
