Second dose of coronavirus vaccine in Coimbatore: Deputy Director of Health Ramesh Kumar
Coimbatore: Deputy Director of Health Ramesh Kumar announced the Second dose of coronavirus vaccine will begin shortly in Coimbatore.
Deputy Director of Health Ramesh Kumar said, "The coronavirus vaccine has been given to health workers across the country since the last 16 days. 42,400 vaccines have been given to Coimbatore in the second phase. In Coimbatore, 58 thousand people have registered on the website to be vaccinated in the first phase. Vaccination is being given at 5 places namely Government Medical College Hospital, Pollachi Government Hospital, Mettupalayam Government Hospital, Seethalakshmi Nagar Health Center and Thaliyoor Primary Health Center."
He added, "So far, more than a thousand people have been vaccinated and 42,400 have been vaccinated in the second phase. The number of people getting vaccinated has increased. Fear and reluctance that prevailed among the people has decreased. So far there have been no side effects for those who have been vaccinated. Currently, second-line vaccines are to be provided."
