Coimbatore: A Petition to the Chief Minister to fulfill the demands on behalf of the Coimbatore District Sunnat Jamaat Kolkai Kootamaippu.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, who was on an election campaign in Coimbatore, addressed a gathering organized by the Coimbatore District Sunnat Jamaat Kolkai Kootamaippu on the 23rd. They submitted a petition to the Chief Minister containing various demands.
Their demands are as follows:
Muslims should be given 10 per cent reservation in education and employment. In Coimbatore we have built a mosque and the police have banned petitions in the name of various Hindu organizations and hence the Government of Tamil Nadu should take steps to give full permission to conduct prayers. A complete ban on alcohol should be implemented in Tamil Nadu. Islamic organizations and people are increasingly affected by the bill to amend the citizenship law brought by the central government.
Therefore the resolution against the law should be passed in the Assembly on behalf of the State and it should be communicated to the Central Government. The charges against the muslim people who fought against the CAA and NRC, NPR should be dropped immediately. A petition has been filed on behalf of the General Secretary of the Coimbatore District Sunnat Jamaat, Innat Dullah, demanding forgiveness for prisoners serving life sentences and their release.
