Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 673 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,16,878 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 4,984.
Among districts, Chennai led with 153 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 47 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 63,073 today, totalling to 1,55,77,766 getting examined till date.
