Chief Minister begins campaign after worshipping Goddess Koniamman: Volunteers enthusiastically welcomed him


Coimbatore: Chief Minister begins campaign after worshipping Goddess Koniamman. Volunteers enthusiastically welcomed him.

Edappadi Palanisamy, the Chief Minister and co-coordinator of the party, arrived in Coimbatore by plane last evening to campaign for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Coimbatore. There he was given an enthusiastic welcome and was followed by a discussion with entrepreneurs at the PSG Arts & Science College campus.

Later that night he stayed at the Government Guest House on Brooke Bond Road. Following the first day of the campaign, he left the guest house at 8.10 am today and arrived at the Coimbatore Koniamman Temple. The Chief Minister who came to the temple along with Minister SP Velumani, MLAs Amman Arjunan, PRG. Arun Kumar, party executives, including OK Chinnarasu and Ettimadai Shanmugam, were greeted at the temple gate with shawls.



He was then given a bouquet on behalf of the Koniamman temple administration and given a special welcome.



Following this, a special ceremony was held to pay homage to the Chief Minister and a function was held on behalf of the temple administration. He then offered his prayers to the Goddess and the temple administration paid their respects to the CM by honoring him. The Chief Minister then visited all the deities in the temple premises one by one and inquired about the needs of the temple.



He then left the temple and started his election campaign. Party volunteers waiting at the temple gate chanted slogans calling him as the permanent chief minister and a few of the college students who had come there even thanked the CM for clearing all their arrears.



Following this the Chief Minister enthusiastically set out from there to campaign in the Raja street, Thermutti area. He then waved and thanked the party volunteers who had gathered in large numbers along the road at the entrance of the temple and left from there.
